Marion Disc Golf Club
Purpose
The purpose of the MDGC is to promote the sport of disc golf in the city of Marion, Ohio and surrounding areas as a means of healthful recreation and physical fitness, and to encourage more players to get involved by:
(a) Developing and maintaining challenging and safe disc golf courses that are appropriate to players of all skill levels
(b) Fostering among the members a closer bond for their joint and mutual benefit through the promotion of organized events
(c) Establishing positive relationships with nonplayers and the community by maintaining high standards of course etiquette, safety and good sportsmanship
What we've done
Since 2019, the Marion Disc Golf Club has raised and donated nearly than $8000 in food, money, toys, and school supplies to the Marion Salvation Army through our annual MDGC Ice Bowl Tournament.
The club has also worked to improve the Sawyer Ludwig Disc Golf Course by replacing the pyramid on hole 2, installing new tee pads for all short locations, and installing new tee signs.
